Ding Ning Admitted to Hospital Following Semi-Final Defeat:
Ding Ning will take no further part in the GAC GROUP 2012 ITTF World Tour China Open in Shanghai. During her Women’s Singles semi-final contest against Li Xiaoxia, where she complained of feeling dizzy at the end of the second game, but continued to play after consulting a doctor; she has been taken to a local hospital. She was due to partner Li Xiaoxia in the Women’s Doubles final later in the day against Hong Kong's Jiang Huajun and Lee Ho Ching; the contest will not take place. The match is awarded to the Hong Kong pair. Ding Ning will not attend the medal ceremony. |
